1. First set the road avoidance behavior. Noise avoidance, road surface avoidance and car avoidance can be either low or high.
2. Then set the road characteristics. Roads can be small or large. Traffic volume can be low or high.
3. Set the population sensitivity to the four road effects using percentages. The values entered in the four boxes must add up to 100% or they will be adjusted automatically.
4. Click on the “Show Road Impact” button.
5. The result will be displayed as a value from 1 to 10, where 1 represents the lowest impact on population persistence.
6. To run the model again, simply re-set all parameters and click on the “Show Road Impact” button.
7. Pressing the “Your Previous Results” button will display the results of all iterations of the model during one session.
